About ITAC at U-CREW
The Intermountain Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) is part of the U.S. Department of Energy's national program dedicated to helping small and medium-sized manufacturers and commercial buildings improve their energy efficiency and competitiveness.
Hosted by U-CREW at the University of Utah, our center brings together faculty expertise, student talent, and industry partnerships to deliver comprehensive energy assessments and workforce development opportunities throughout the Intermountain Region.

U-CREW offers undergraduate and graduate students hands-on experience supporting applied energy efficiency and assessment work. We primarily recruit engineering students, but also welcome applicants from other disciplines. Recruitment includes students from the University of Utah as well as other in-state institutions.
